What are your thoughts on this?

  1. It seems like it was worth a shot trying to trust these kids with iPads. I'm sure some teachers knew that at least a few students would be able to get around and hack the system.

  2. If they are equating internet access to a "security breach", then they should just scrap the whole program...

  3. They should have seen this coming. Kids know a lot more about the internet and technology than the adults so of course they would be able to hack the iPads.

  4. Thought it was pretty funny, just makes apple or security more aware that they need to step their game up. Maybe they should hire hackers since they are the ones getting through the system, enemies could be your best friends.

  5. Well obviously there's way to hack internet anyways it's not hard. They have tutorial videos on YouTube, or if you know how to use google in sure it could be picked up in a couple months.

  6. I guess it was a matter of time before this happened. . .It's sad to read things like this because for things like this it's likely that the school won't distribute ipads anymore and the money the district spent on getting them was wasted.

  7. If they scrap this program for someone gaining internet access then they are going to be wasting a lot of money. IF they switch to open source learning then the program will work better.

  8. My parents and I totally saw this coming. I am very glad I left LA before the district kids messed up the iPads. By the way, they still owe me a promised iPad.
