Describe a school rule you think is ridiculous and explain how you would change it.

  3. Frisk- To move about playfully and briskly (The kids frisked about in their back yard)
    Hyperbolic- Exaggerated (Sitting in class thinking this will be the death of me and telling everyone how horrible it is, makes me look hyperbolic)
    Hypothetical-Based on a hypothesis (My little cousin always seems to draw himself in a hypothetical situation)
    Predominantly- Having power, authority, or influence on other's (Peers can be the worst predominant factors that lead people in rough situations )
    Render- To submit, approval (The court orders to render evidence on the people's judgment)
    Fourth amendment- "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
    Provision- Act of supplying or putting out (What provision do social workers give when people are in the street with their kids, begging for food or money
    Inevitably- Impossible to avoid or prevent (It is almost inevitable to run away from the system with what we live in today's technology)
    Basis- Foundation upon with which something rests (U.S. Government is the basis of knowledge to our history)

  5. 1) Discretion-(Noun) The quality of behaving or speaking in such a way to avoid causing offense or revealing private information: She knew she could rely on his discretion.
    2) Unrestrained-(Adjective) Not restrained or restricted: A display of unrestrained delight.
    3) Surveillance-(Noun) Close observation, especially of a suspected spy or criminal: He found himself put under surveillance by military intelligence.
    4) Permitted-(Verb) Giving authorization or consent to (someone) to do something: The law permits councils to monitor any factory emitting smoke.
    5) Infraction-(Noun) A violation or infringement of a law, agreement, or set of rules.
    6) Predominately-(Verb) Be the strongest or main element:Small scale producers predominate in the south.
    7) Excessive-(Adjective) More than is necessary, normal, or desirable; immoderate: He was drinking excessive amounts of brandy.
    8) Seizure-(Noun) The action of capturing someone or something using force: That is another seizure of power by the military.
    9) Provision-(Noun) The action of providing or supplying something for use: New contracts for the provision services.
    10) Preceding-(Verb) Come before (something) in time: A gun battle had preceded the explosions.

    A lot of people hate to be frisked because they dont like to be touched in any way.
    Unrestrained- not controlled; uncontrollable
    He was overwhelmed with unrestrained laughter.
    Seizure- taking possession of an item or property by force
    The seizure of Tom's phone was unnecessary.
    Hyperbolic- exaggerated
    Saying i was "as hungry as a cow" was hyperbolic.
    Hypothetical- assumed by hypothesis
    She had hypothetical reasoning about global warming.
    Provision-a supply of something provided
    The amendments were a provision to the constitution.
    Render- to provide or make
    The poor dog was rendered helplesly.
    Consent- to permit or approve
    He was given consent to take a picture at the show.
    Violated- to treat disrespectfully or infringe
    His privacy was violated when his mom barged into his room.
    Predominantly- having power over others
    Parents are very predominate towards their children.

    Seized-(of the police or another authority) take possession of (something) by warrant or legal right; confiscate; impound.
    Doctrine-a belief or set of beliefs held and taught by a church, political party, or other group

    Ex- The officer will FRISK any registered felon.

    2.Policing- the civil force of a national or local government, responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order
    Ex- Congress and Senate deal with POLICING on a daily basis.

    3.Seize- the action of capturing someone or something using force
    Ex- Even if you resist, the officer will still SEIZE you no matter what you do.

    4.Discretion- the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information
    Ex- Please speak with DISCRETION, especially in a public place.

    5.Hyperbolic- exaggerated
    Ex- That was a very HYPERBOLIC response you gave me.

    6.Hunch- a feeling or guess based on intuition rather than known facts
    Ex- I make decisions based off a hunch all of the time.

    7.Predominantly- mainly; for the most part
    Ex- Police PREDOMINATELY care about the wellbeing of every individual.

    8.Infraction- a violation or infringement of a law, agreement, or set of rules
    Ex- The cop gave her a ticket for her driving INFRACTION.

    9.Impermissible- too bad to be allowed
    Ex- Cell phones are IMPERMISSIBLE in the class room.

    10.Inflected- bend or deflect (something), esp. inward
    This article coveys that some laws are INFLECTED by police officers.

    11.Render- provide or give (a service, help, etc.)
    Ex- I can manage to RENDER up a list of ideas for you.

    12.Surveillance- close observation, esp. of a suspected spy or criminal
    Ex- There are cameras located around the room for the best possible SURVEILLANCE.
